Otolaryngology- Frequently referred to as an "ENT" specialist, an otolaryngologist is concerned with the medical and surgical treatment of the ears, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck in pediatric and adult patients. The specialty encompasses cosmetic facial reconstruction, surgery of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, management of patients with loss of hearing and balance, endoscopic examination of air and food passages, and treatment of allergic, sinus, laryngeal, thyroid and esophageal disorders. To qualify for board certification a physician must complete five or more years of training after medical school. |
Services Offered Our Physicians are specially trained to perform a great variety of surgical procedures in the treatment of the ear, nose, sinuses, pharynx, larynx, oral cavity, neck, thyroid, salivary glands, bronchial tubes and esophagus, as well as cosmetic surgery of the face, head and neck. Our office has up-to-date audiological equipment to test hearing and diagnose the cause of hearing loss, as well as various balance problems. |
Financial Policy As a courtesy to all our patients, our office will file insurance claims to your primary insurance carrier. If we do not participate in your insurance plan, please be aware that your benefits may be reduced. If you have not met your deductible, payment in full is required. Our office will still file your claim, which will be applied to your deductible. Our office participates with South Carolina Medicare and Medicaid programs. We are also providers in some managed care plans. Please call the office site where your appointment is scheduled to verify that we participate with your particular insurance plan. If you have any questions or find it is necessary to discuss financial arrangements, please contact the Office Manager, prior to services being rendered. It is our hope that the above financial policy will help clear up the business aspects of the office, allowing us to concentrate on providing quality care to our valued patients. If you have any further questions or need clarification on any of the above information, please do not hesitate to contact our office. Our doctors participate with many insurance companies. The specific plans with which we are associated changes frequently enough that we ask our patients to check with us. |
