CT SCAN

A major goal of Charleston ENT Associates, L.L.C., has been to create a Center of Excellence for ear, nose and throat related services. 

In addition to our brand new facilities with a state-of-the-art surgical suite, advanced audiologic and cochlear implantation services, allergy treatment, advanced snoring and sleep apnea treatment, image-guided sinus surgery, we offer office-based CT Scanning. Our GE HiSpeed scan provides precisely detailed images within seconds.

Prior to the office-based CT scan, patients would often see the physician for their first visit and then a second would be arranged after an imaging study was performed elsewhere.

Office-based CT scans allow us the ability to initiate our consultation, obtain the CT scan when necessary and then develop a definitive treatment plan in a more expeditious fashion. For example, a sinus CT scan is often necessary to diagnosis and more accurately treat chronic sinus disease and can be performed with this helical technology in less than one minute. 

The information from the CT scan can then be transported through our network telecommunication system to the any one of our four physician offices and/or a board-certified radiologist, and can even be sent directly to the operating room for direct access during surgery.
